Khumulwng: Three Underrated Places In That You should Visit Next

Khumulwng which is the heart of the TTAADC area of Tripura. this city has earned different famous name such as "The City of Flowers" , "The City of Tripuris" and "The Tipra City". This Khumulwng has it's own charm which are still exploring by peoples and many are unexploded. 


So if you are in Khumulwng , then you must not forget to visit these three places.

1. Kokborok Library: The Kokborok Library situated nearby the Khumulwng Stadium have a unique collection of Kokborok literary works as the name suggests. It has a total of 8,000 books mainly of Tripura culture, history and language. You may discover a book out of print in the Library shelf.

The Kokborok Library have books that covers the historical background of Tripura namely Rajmala (The Chronicles of Tripura Kingdom), Administration Records and Constitutional History of Tripura.

2. Khumulwng Museum: If one wants to explore a culture through a curated experience, Khumulwng Museum will give you a glimpse of the Tiprasas unique work of art and the remnants of their civilization. The museums exhibits traditional attire, handicrafts, musical instruments, jewellery and painting depicting the indigenous way of life.

Traditional handicrafts of different sorts are displayed at the museum. Like in the picture, ‘Ah Thuk Dulla’ is bamboo weaven basket-like used to store the catch while fishing in streams.

3. Dukmali Hati (Bazaar): If you want to see the bazaar with many organic produce and local products; Dukmali Bazaar will be the perfect place if you are in Khumulwng. Looking for any souvenir or eyeing for a traditional stuff you’ll find it there. Besides you can also savour the dishes in the local eateries.
